I really enjoyed it.... a lot!
They did a great job of maintaining the feeling of the books. They changed the story up a bit but the essence was still there. They took the dwarfs and elves out all together.
The "one actor playing twins" thing really didn't work for me for the first few scenes, but once the story and action start unfolding I forgot all about it. The cg characters all kicked ass!
Oh and if you haven't picked up Arthur Spiderwick's field guide and Care and Feeding of Sprites from the book series, I highly recommend them. Tony DiTerlizzi is sooooo good!
