I was just wondering if anyone knows a program that can preview an image and keep the image on top of all screens so I can model and the image always be there? thanks
I wish XnView just had a button to put it on top. As it stands, you need to go intot he options (F12) and select the option. The downside to this is that often enough when you close that window and open another one, it won't stay on top anymore, and you'll need to toggle the options off, close the window, open a new window and toggle it on again. Nevertheless, I use it a lot, and I much prefer it over using additional software for it(although ghost-it is quite nice)
I have a bad habit of keeping FireFox up. If I'm not using FireFox, Windows Picture Viewer seems to work just fine for me. I don't like using the screen real estate for references when I'm working.
If I really need the reference up, I normally just throw it on a plane in a viewport.

ah, finally i found it. it's under options->interface->windows and then there is the checkbox.
this really helps, as setting up planes is often just two many extra steps for quick previewing of different reference pics.
fbextender is really a cool program. too bad i have bad stability issues wit hit. directfolders is a good and in my case stable alternative, even if it costs a few $. but with no pin option ;(
