Yeah, I finally got a chance to TRY it and the results aren't as great as I've seen done by others. The other versions I've seen weren't free to try through a website though But this version looks like they just superimpose the image onto a tunnel shaped box.
google has sketchup. And its employed in google earth. Google maps would just suck major bandwidth if they implemented a full 3d scalable display. Heck google maps already stalls my connection half the time.
