Don't know if anyon here has seen this already, but these builds are getting pretty complete. These are free to play, but you can register to unlock stuff and to fund development of the campaign etc...
I really like the ideas that went into this, and it's really cool to see Prom work on a game that actually goes somewhere, heh.

"In Cortex Command, you play as a prospector and explorer in a time where complete cybernetics and whole-body amputations are common practice. Your severed brain is able to control many different types of bodies remotely from its underground bunker: clones, robots, spaceships, defensive turrets, and so on.
A typical scenario starts with a building phase where you get to construct your own bunker complex from scratch. Then you need to mine precious gold from the deformable pixel terrain in order to buy more and better ships, soldiers, weapons, digging tools, and deployable defenses. Use these assets to defend your disembodied brain and to destroy or bankrupt your opponent!
Control your team of remote bodies either directly or let the friendly AI do your bidding through real-time strategy elements built into the game. Play up to four players in split screen -- 2 vs. 2 players, or all four cooperatively against the computer. Eventually, play the campaign missions together with friend..."

Love his painting style.
As for the game i have seen this game in production for about 5 years. The gibs have been in for most all that time, just with temp art.
Also, the longcat in the spacesuit on the 5th slide is funny.
Didn't manage to play tho!
The menu screen is my favorite part, the music, the planets..
etc.
//edit: rooster, yes that is indeed machinae supremacy.
And yeah, the controls are hard as shit at first. Especially the looking up and down takes quite some getting used to! I prefer to play it like an rts anyway, letting the ai handle the bots (in skirmish). And yeah, the intro-screen actually gave me goosebumps as well. It's been a while since I've seen such one thats so gloriously over-the-top. It really makes you want to play, I find. I really like the menu-music as well, after the guitar-bit. Sounds a bit Metroid-ish, I think.
Otherwise, awesome Style and Feel to it, good fun !
I was also a little miffed when I apparently spent over 3000 credits sending in a delivery rocket that just blew everything to bits, and I could only use part of one of the robots I ordered? But so much of it is done so well I hope they spend some time ironing out the kinks and making it into something great!
