I've still got to tweak the model a bit and play with the UVs before I start texturing. There is alot of wasted space on the map right now. For the weapon I was thinking either a sentry gun or some tools w\ a wrench.

1. quite boxy , try anatomy references
2. The UVs are inefficient, tons of wasted space there. For low poly models you want as much coverage as possible while maintaining straightness of pixels for the least distortions

Thank you for the crits. I'll see about implementing them as best I can. Too bad I suck at UV mapping .

I've completed most of the modeling on the sentry:


With the remaining tris I think I'll model the spanner and a few things hanging from his belt.

it's look ok, but you need to shape it a lot more eg. like with the pants they don't go straight down into the boots.
