The game is absolute shit, but I like the idea a lot.

Looking at all the screens its like a PS2 game with higher res textures... but they arent higher resolution at all.
I know graphics arent everything but this one seems to try hard to be ultra gritty and realistic. Couple it with the fact its like one of the oldest premises - war, its pretty dull. Strikes me as a mod project someone would do, not something I'd want to shell out full price for.

(Having recently done a lot of particle FX in Unreal3, I noticed mistakes instantly with the fire & burning buildings, impacts, etc. but that's just me analyzing their FX work.)
The demo was extremely scripted, I really hope that the full game isn't like this. I thought the AI was a little dumb at times and the weapon firing seemed weird. I only played the demo for about 10 mins, then deleted it. The graphics definitely aren't anywhere near the polished quality that is expected today using Unreal. Since the game is almost ready to ship I would bet that they are probably doing optimization currently.
Is this something I would Rent on gamefly, probably not.

They actually made a crack at the Wolfenstein series for being too fantasy and not enough reality. Comparison is inevitable, with alt-history nazis and all... But I don't feel like I'm in any competition here :P
Although, I do appluad them for blowing up the white house. It's kind of a bold thing to do for a game that takes itself seriously.
I like how they took a page out of some better games by having events happen around you in real time, but that was the extent of which I enjoyed it

I was shooting at a guy poking out from a wall and it was hitting the box which was like 2 inches to the left of where I was shooting.
Also I was standing and another guy was shooting at me and I was infront of a box and I wasn't getting hit, and bulletholes appeared in front of me. The lighting is bad. The characters look shoddy, the animations are poor, the story IS overused, but still entertaining.
Fuck this.
