I don't want to hijack Choldens UT WiP Map anymore than it already is hah.
I used his tutorials and his stair-prop workflow example for my own work in learning a little bit about "next-genning" (c) some prop items. I love mudbox, I find it so much more user friendly than zbrush. The mudbox work here probably could have used some fine tuning, but it was my first time.
Overall this set piece is very basic and took me way longer than it should, but I did spend a half day playing around with the free trial of MudBox and it is definitely something I will be investing in sooner rather than later. I'd say it probably took me an hour to put together the steps and then a day to learn mudbox. And textured this evening after dinner.
Thanks Cholden!

good stair
Nah, that looks cool, appears as though the tuts work. Good adaptation.
Saidin, pretty nice. Not much to crit, only thing that catches my eye is the dirt texture. It seems like its too light or something. Maybe it's me.
I'm not going to put any more work into this as its just a learning/basic piece but I did darken and reduce the focus of the dirt bit. It's still brownish and sawdustish. But I'll find a better texture for next time.
