since my last bug was a dud, i decided to post a genuine bug this time around:
i'm a regular user of the "stitch selected" due to it being faster than going through the pelt.
this time though, its bugged out. instead of scaling the piece down to fit, its scaling it up.
here's a download link to the test scene:

in the last days of UV mapping, the stitch has bugged out on me about 3 times.
the big piece was UVmapped using the UVW map tool,
i just broke off the little piece, and gave it a bit of
"relax" then i found out the other piece needed some extra UVs as well, but relax just messed that piece up, so i decided instead to use unfold map and stitch selected, and the result is this bug.
one of my daily fisticuffs with 3ds max.. sigh.
ill be doing this manually, with regular stitch, but if anyone got any tips why this is happending, i'd like to hear.

i think i'll make a compendium of mistakes you are likely to make while using 3ds max, labeled "pitfalls of 3ds max".
wonder why the W channel isn't auto-flattened when an unwrap UVW modifier is applied though.
the next UVW bug is going to be genuine however.
somehow 3ds max seems to be built to make you feel constantly stupid.
