Anyone know any places I can get some free sound effects for a game I'm working on that don't sound like the 80's or a made for tv movie?

for legally public domain stuff (no stolen crappy familiar noises here)
You can
also use SFXR
to do waveform placeholders

You can also use SFXR to do waveform placeholders
