Hey guys, I'm doing a second pass on my 3d final for school and I'm wondering if there is a way to tell Maya to ignore a set number of frames from, say frame 340-1800 while i work on a walk cycle from 1-339.
Essentially i want to work on the cycle and not have to mess around with any key frames beyond that cycle's range that could possibly affect the walk.
The way I'm doing it now is every time i add a key frame to the walk I'm having to copy it and paste at the end of the cycle's time line range, it works, but it slows things down big time.

Below the animation slider/scrub are four value fields (two on each side). One on each side is to set the playback range (mouseover and it'll tell you) - so you can just have it loop the animation from 1 to 399

why dont you just grab everything that is keyable, go to F339, put a key down. then set your time slider range from 1-339. the only reason any of that would mess up your cycle is if you arent keying every object on your key poses.
