HI I need some advice from the freelance veterans, I have been offered a supposedly part time contract position for a new developing company, and I wanted to find out if any one here has ever been asked to provide a copy of their ID in order to do the work.
Now heres the catch I live in the US the contract its in Norway.
More likely I know that Im not going to go for it unless we can work some other way that wouldnt involve having my identity stolen the easy way DAWN IT.
What do you guys think, am I been too skeptical here? Has any one ever been told this crap before?

There might be a middle ground, depending on what they want it for. You might be able to censor out some information on your ID if they don't need it and you feel it's a privacy violation.
Heeem what do you know any ways it made me feel more comfortable to hear from those of you who have already been through this. I guess this isnt really a big deal as I was tripping out about.
DAWN IT.!!
What's with the "DAWN IT.!!" ? is it a polite way of saying damn it? Because subsituting one word for another is really quite ridiculous. 'It's just words', anyone?
MightyPea substituting one word for another it's quite didiculous you say?
