Technical issues with maya and geforce 7900GS

Hey, I just installed Maya 8.5 on my Home PC.
When using perspective view I my viewport starts flickering and it looks like it cant update it, I have to switch to another window and back again for it to update what changes i've made, I get this issue on something as lowpoly as a cube.
I've read that this is an issue on many Geforce cards but havent found any fix on it.

It would be great if anyone could help me with this.
(yes I have the latest nvidia drivers.)

My system:
Intel Core 2CPU 6600 @ 2.4ghz
2gb Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS
Win XP 32bit.

Drivers ( the last ones precisely ) seem to be the problem smile.gif

    Try this,
Go to your nvidia panel configuration ( the advanced one ) and turn these settings like this after you've created dedicated maya profile :
    - antialiasing : 8x
    - anisotropic filtering : 4x
    - hyperthreading : off
    - single screen optimization

I have (had?) the same problem with 8600 GT and all maya's releases i have ( and all the drivers i have tested around )

So try and tell if something's better smile.gif

Thank you so much, after intense Flipping out on the rotate/move tools I have yet to notice any flickering!

So far it works wonderful, If the problems reappear I'll post here again laugh.gif
