thx guys, saves me from requesting a acdsee license. its annoying that vista doesn't display TGA in explore window even with tga thumbnail app installed.

thanks, pior/arsh! maxview is incredible. its lightweight, superfast, comfortable to use and free! never really been happy with irfanview, xnview or acdsee.

maxview seems nice but it does lack an image browser, right? at least i can't seem to find one. happy with xnview otherwise which however acts a little funky in my dual screen setups and isn't the fastest, unfortunately.

yes it lacks an image browser. i never really used the built-in browsers though since i prefer the thumbnail view in windows explorer. always worked best for me

Why didn't anyone tell me about maxview yet? My favourite yet, especially as I also use windows' thumbnail-view to browse pictures.

Unfortunately the ThumbPlug viewer doesn't work on Windows 64-bit editions, or Vista afaik. I have 64-bit, so I can't use it

Only thing XnView is missing is being able to do simple brush strokes. Other than that, it's purfect.

I am finding this does not work on TGA on my 64bit PC.

Anyone got any new viewers they know about? I am having to use Adobe Bridge at the moment so its a pain in the arse buts it all I have.

Well if you want to see the tga thumbnails then try this. As for viewers the ones that have been posted still stand.
