The seams looked pretty noticeable on that vid, but as the article said, they plan on working out the kinks by the time its released. But .02ms response time! DAMN!
Impractical for gaming IMO, unless the game will support that extreme widescreen res without squishing/stretching. Really good for a dual monitor replacement for a seamless workspace, but I don't see myself rushing to buy one any time too soon.
Considering there's a huge bulk of 16:10 monitors with a 1650x1080 resolution, I don't think the 900px is that bad. The 16:10s are only getting an extra 180px of vertical res. I could live without it.
The monitor is meant to simulate peripheral vision though, so they will likely have a blurry effect on the sides I would think.
I'd personally like it as a workstation monitor. Would be quite nice, instead of having 2 different models of WS monitors, one bigger than the other - very disorienting

If the gundam pods are anything to go by, should be very decent for gaming.
Wish it was some nice, thin, sleek curved LCD monitor, and not this fat DLP thing. Maybe in a couple of years when they've worked out the kinks this will be a fun thing to own. Would certainly -look- impressive on the desk.. Though again, not too sexy, being so bulky in the back.
Well with OLED on the near horizon I would say that thin large curved screens like this aren't that far behind. But OLED is pretty pricey right now from what I hear.
was reading up on OLED's. seems they're just developing tech to get the blue oled's to last about 62,000 hours (similar to led's) instead of the old 5,000 hours.

Bbt yeah, it's still pretty snazzy.
I'd give it a go though, for sure.
