I saw this one a few days back, and it's my favourite of his wii-hacks so far. Really lovely stuff, and I'm hoping to see something using this to good effect soon!
this could be useful for single player time crisis type game, for ducking behind cover, multiplayer on separate screens. can't think of much else game-wise. definately fun to look at.
This should be possible to implement as a mod in most moddable fps'es, I mean, if you use the input of the wiimote through the tools to decide how the view should be rendered.
Exactly what I though, this guy is making uses for the Wiimotes that are a hell of a lot better than most accessories has come out with. Screw the zapper or the wii balance board. I want this applied to some sort of first person game.
Thats really awesome stuff! Kind of disappointing to see someone doing that as a project, but yet the wii gets all these games just replacing mashing buttons with wagging a remote. This weeks zero punctuation was about galaxies, and he pointed out that even galaxies would have worked just fine on the gamecube, barely using motion sensing. Galaxies ftw though, playing it now its awesome.
This guy freakin rules. Really hope some company picks him up soon. Could care less if it's Nintendo, MS, Logitech, whoever, so long as they get him workin on some cool shit.
I've been meaning to post this new vid from Johnny Lee. I've been trying to convince the right people here at work to take this approach with our game. They're too hung up on making it 2 player so it wouldn't work, that and the production cost for the goggles/headsets to distribute with the game.

Nintendo better be calling him.
Also, how about giving topics a descriptive name?
quite fully possible!
PS. Close your eyes when listening to the first clip. Who knew that Kermit the Frog was such a techie?
