I've been working on the Wii comp over on Game Artisans. I'm not getting much interest from the members over there so I thought I post my progress here to get some crits.




I'm not terribly happy with the hands at this stage, but I think the rest is just about done, pending some input from you lot.

Love it. I agree with the hands. Look at some old warner bros stuff. Try and make all of the hand and fingers thicker and pudgier. REally cool concept and model though.

Connect it to the clavicals, the neck sits too high and back on the torso. You'll need a wider base to fit such a thick neck. That aside, i'm totally digging this.

Time for some colours. I think this works. I spent a while looking through a stack of Capcom art to try and work out what a good colour scheme consists of.


I replaced the hands Disney/Warner Brothers styled hands. If it was good enough for Daffy and Donald, its good enough for me. I spent a while tweaking the neck based on what Shotgun mentioned and while the result was perhaps a little more realistic, I didn't really like the way it played with the dynamics of the character so I wound up back where I started.

I do apreciate the crits and comments, guys. Give me a yell if you've got any more suggestions.

Goddamn, you'd think after 8 shipped titles, I'd be used to this kind of stress. Nevertheless, with a mere 2 hours remaining I've got this sucker in the bag.

The tail feathers look really nice, dude.
The final looks great, though I think it could have benefited from different colour shoes. The classic rockabilly shoes would have been pretty cool. Maybe a smidgen more colour variation in the suit shadow would have really made it pop.

Yeah, so do I. If I'd had another day I definitely would have gone back and done something different with the shoes.
