NAtional Treasure 2. i rarely get out of the cinema without beeing entertained, but this movie just made me feel stupid , pick up all cliches possible and throw them in. seriously, it was BAD.
Spider-Man 3 was terrible, it was painful to sit through and i was just waiting for it to end already. The only good thing to come out of that crap fest was Bruce Campbell.
I don't usually watch block busters and this reminded me why.
Johny: how could you not smell that pile of turds from miles away? stop believing the lies!!!!!!
Already said this on one thread, but there's no harm in repeating ...
Worst movie of the year was 300. If you disagree to the extent of lauding it the extent of it being one of the *best of the year, it clearly shows that your morals and social perception are all askew. This makes you more likely to be a paedophile than most people you meet. You fuckin nonce
I liked National treasure 1, but I won't be seeing 2 anytime soon unless I"m incredibly bored, well that's a stretch too. I saw the first one out of curiosity, I was wondering how bad it could be. What did you guys think of Resident Evil 3? It must have been terrible since I never saw it mentioned in the GD section. I'll renting at some point, curipus to see what crap they pulled off this time.
300 is overrated. its like 300 wrestlers stepped off the ring and started going around cutting peoples legs off.
movie preview was cool though. THIS IS SPARTAAAAA.
It was actrually more like 20 guys, it never even looked close to 300 and oh my god, that movie was lame and all those greenscreens, it was all so flat and not even close to epic.
Spiderman 3 or Shrek 3 for me, simply because I went in hoping they'd live up to their predecessors. Transformers was rubbish too, but that was at least evident from the trailers.
My guess is that all of you who said 300 was the worst movie have some kind of closet homosexual fantasy that surfaced when you saw the movie. In order to vent your frustration and angst, you attack the movie and say it was horrible.
Then again, I'm not an awesome internet pro pretending to be a hardcore movie reviewer, so what do I know. I also thought Gigli wasn't that bad.
i liked it 2.
also liked the first one!
i mean. its a jerry bruckheimer movie! you know what to expect. if you dont like it, might as well dont go.
as for me, movies is a place to relax and shut my brain off. i just want to leave the movie with the feeling the moview was worth it and by worth it, i mean entertainning
Such a total piece of shit wasteful movie. People kept walking out of the theatre, and I felt like gouging my eyes out halfway through.
Lynch is usually good. Mulholland Drive was awesome, and I've seen it 3 times and loved it every time. Inland Empire on the other hand. There's no excuses. Don't even try to defend this movie, because you will only come off sounding as stupid as people defending the final solution.
if you want to see something truly terrible try and find a cinema showing "the assasination of jesse james by the coward robert ford" then come back and say national treasure 2 is all that bad.
Usually I find RottenTomatoes to be at least a fair indication of how "good" a movie is since they average a whole bunch of reviews. I think a movie averaging above 70% is much more likely to be a good movie than one averaging below 40% ... then again there's no accounting for taste
whoever told you it was really good isnt your freind.
but dont take my word or rottentomatoes if you can even find anyone brave (or stupid) enough to show it I dare you to watch it all, all 2 hours and 40 minutes of drawn out silence and blank stares. If you can your a braver man than me.
Ghost Rider. That movie looked like those involved used Spiderman 1 as a blueprint and just inserted GR. EVERYTHING about that movie was horrible. Ghost Rider deserved so much better than that, and as a longtime GR comic fan, I was so disapointed. That movie should have been shot more along the lines of a horror movie, with GR's head being the main source of illumination in the scenes he's in. And I know he talks in the comic, but a talking skull does not translate well to the big screen.
Shrek 3 was not a good movie, Pirates 3 was horrible. But the worst movie of the year would be Spiderman 3 for me. I still fail to see how it is possible to fuck a movie like that after creating two really good ones...
The Simpsons Movie was one of the worst movies I've seen this past year, but only because I didn't see Transformers, and don't plan to. Some scattered and trendy jokes throughout, but overall not a movie I'd want to sit through ever again. Next in line is Spiderman 3, but I don't blame the director.
i finally got around to seeing Spiderman 3 last night, on the sky box office ppv thingy
my god, that was *chronic. Lots of films with too much to fit into the running time just become a sprawling mess, a hack edit where they try loads but nothing really comes off. Even though there was plenty to get stuck into, this didn't even bother trying, and just dawdled from one random episode to the next until the film ran out. And shit! We forgot to put venom in, shall we reshoot and recut? Nah bollocks to that, just drop him in at the end. Roll credits.
As bad as 300? Dunno. Spidey was actually probably worse, but i saw 300 in a cinema and therefore couldn't start up a conversation about frogs during the last 20 minutes cos i was so numbingly bored. At least i could do that last night
And can someone get kirsten dunst a comfortable bed and just let her get some sleep, already? She really, really needs it
Aliens vs Predator 2
good god I hate that film. Why the hell did he strip off his armor to fight? Oh I have plenty more vitriol towards the film but that part made me actually laugh out loud.
I even liked the first one so its not as if my bad film threshold is low.
Oh and 300 just sucked all over the show.
In the last week, I have suffered through Transformers and Epic Movie. The worst part? I can't really determine which one made me regret hitting "Play" more.
To bring some happy to this thread of cinema dismay, I saw Meet The Robinson over the weekend which was surprisingly good in a light-hearted sort of way.
i think the worse shit ive seen this year was THE TEN, God, i dunno who suggest me that shit, but damn its BAD, after 10mins it was out the window!. Worse comedy ever!
The assassination of Jesse James by Coward Robert ford, is Fcking Good. Its not an action western like 3:10 to yuma (and that rock too) but more of a @documentary Ish@, Very good.
yeah...
i liked nationa tresure 1 and 2 and look forward to the third one.
its a pop corn movie just like i like them.
no need to think much just enter the cinema andshut brain off. i like that.
if i wanted to think i would go see a lecture on physics

I would have walked out if I wasn't with a girl that wanted to see all of it.
Pureed Carrots FTW

While I don't think 300 was horrible, I don't think it was a great movie either. Pretty, but not really good (like "Gladiator" good).
If I met Gerard Butler I would have taken a bite of a cupcake and told him "This is delicious!"
As for National Treasure 2-- dude, it's Nick Cage! How could you expect any better?
You guys suck
also liked the first one!

That's easy.
Inland Empire by David Lynch.

National Treasure 2 = 35% on RottenTomatoes

Jesse James = 75% on RottenTomatoes
