Game Designer - Mobile Video Games!

Calling all Awesome Game Designers!

Gameloft, a leading international publisher and developer of video games for mobile phones, is seeking gifted 2D and 3D Game Designers of to join their existing talent pool. Qualified candidates will link up with imaginative design teams to create hot new game titles, fulfilling a wide range of genres from hardcore action to casual simulation. Previous hit games include LOST, Dogz, Brain Challenge, Gangstar: Crime City, Asphalt: Street Rules, Live Free or Die Hard, Shrek The Third, Heroes and Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood 3D. As a key member of the development team, you’ll take charge of the initial concept and game design directly through final delivery.

The Nitty-Gritty:
• Design game, level layouts and gameplay content for one of the following game genres:
- Action / Adventure (urban-themed, military-themed, etc.)
- Social Life Sims (life simulations, etc.)
- Casual Games (puzzle games, card games, etc.)
- Sports and Racing (team sports, racing, individual sports)
• Complete benchmarking & competition research
• Communicate with a team of artists and programmers to ensure creative vision is fulfilled
• Collaborate with design team to produce innovative ideas for new concepts and existing design issues
• Effectively receive and provide constructive criticism

Must-haves/ know-how:
• Ability to create a feasible game model based on a variety of tools and methods
• Skilled at documenting ideas, concepts and technical designs in a format that is easy for all team members to understand
• Thorough understanding of video games and their commercial appeal to the general public
• Think creatively, work well independently and as a team player
• Ability to successfully convey your vision and motivate team members

You’ll earn brownie points if you have:
• Experience with design software (MS Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Maya, Game Maker, etc.)
• Familiarity with C++ and JAVA
• Strong knowledge of wireless devices
• A love for video games, inside & out
