ok epic just released a new exporter now it seems not to crash
it was XSI 6.02 and an character with a skeleton applied, i'm not an xsi User though and i'm not the one exporting, i'll be the one who will have to get the damn file into max if the XSI exports doesn work *grml
When you export with ActorX, under the setup tab that "all textured", and "bake smoothing groups" are turned on. It might also be how your clusters are setup. If you assign a cluster with a material, that will get exported out just like a Material Id in Max.
I've been using the newest plugin for XSI 6.5 and haven't run into any problems.
hi Waz, i tried that checkboxes and i also assigned the materials with cluster but its still like in the screenshot above. would you tell me wich version of the ActorX you have?

I'm considering adding UT3 skeleton support to my autorigger scripts to be used with actorX. Would be nice to know of any potential roadblocks.
