Hey guys, this is a character name Hawk that I did for my character modeling class. It is my first time bringing a character from start to end and I learned alot in the process. Such as inoganic+organic modeling tips that I've gathered from some of the kind members here, just like to say thanks as it definately helped me to tackle this project. The modeling part is pretty much done and I'll be handing this in for class tommorow. If any of you guys have any critiques I'd be more than happy to hear it. However I can probably only make tweaks to textures at this point?
This was my original concept, I know its not an exact representation of it and I think thats mostly due to my inexperience and noobness in 3D.
Thanks viewing guys.

Don't like the color of gloves, look like those rubber ones I wear to wash dishes
Dekard: Ya the hair was definately a cop out as I was unsure how I would approach it. I read some hair tutorials but was just a bit afraid to tackle it with my limited knowledge and a looming deadline. I'm going to squeeze in some planes in my uvs over the break and see how I can manage the hair! Thx!
good luck with finals and your specular map looks very good. Can you give me some tutorials on how to paint specular maps? I am a student too.
I also think the gloves could use something, mainly some red details, black or something.
I think the feet might be too small. I know you said you're not gonna change the model but for future ref...
Sometimes a UT2 character with as much detail like that would still work with a 512 resolution.
Sectaurs: I agree, I'm probably going to work out some more details during my break. The assignment was to use 2048 maps though.
Baddcog: Thanks Baddcog, as Xena also mentioned the glove is looking like those wash gloves which I'm going to try and touch up as well.
Pliang: Ya I know what you're saying it does look a bit plain especially on some parts such as the gloves and skin. Our assignment requires us to use a 2048 map, I'll have to try and maximize that resolution before I call this done.
Think you could get some closeups of the wires??? Especially the head....that poly flow looks really nice up there...at least from another's student's perspective that is :-)
