Ok, I've been working with 3DSM 9 for awhile lately, but now I'm having a little issue. Whenever I start it up again, it gives me this error
Autodesk\3dsmax\9 - 32bit\UI\MaxStartUI.mnu is invalid!
3ds Max failed to start
It worked just fine the day before, and now it's messed up. I looked for the file, and now it's gone completely.
I tried to unistall it, but it also says it can't find the patch (or somethign like that) and I can't unistall it either...
Now what?
Can anyone send me a copy of the file above, please?
Replies
I forgot to add that the file itself isn't there...
SO I can't delete what I don't have ^^"
Hmm...anyone else here with 3DSM 9 that cna send me a copy of this file?
I'm kinda in a really tight spot here >.<
There's gotta someone here with 3DSM 9 that can send me the file!
Please, I'm so FUBAR right now >.<....
I looked on the CD, & I can't still find the file.
Curious though, how hard would it be to sned/downlad the file, which is less than a .meg big?
I finally fixed it!
It seemed that my program made a copy of all the vital files & folders, moved them to an exact copy (except the folders now had (2) at the end)
So, by hockign some of the files, editing other, & crossing my fingers....It finally works!
Thanks you guys for all of your effort ^_^
1) open the "C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\2008 - 32bit\enu\3dsmax.ini" file.
2)Find the "[CustomMenus]
FileName=C:\Documents and Settings\XXX\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\3dsmax\2008 - 32bit\enu\UI\MaxStartUI.mnu" line
3)Change "MaxStartUI.mnu" as DefaultUI.mnu and save the file.Open Max:)
