So my younger brother's girlfriend asked me for some advice on tablets (as a Christmas gift to my brother), and I was wondering if any of you who actually use them professionally would have any suggestions. He's mainly going to be using it as a hobbyist, so it's okay to suggest something that might be below your own standards.
This and
this are the two she's looking at. I checked out ebay, and Wacoms all seem to be out of her budget, and I'm not sure if she'd want to buy a used one anyway since she's giving it as a gift. I know most people consider Wacoms to be the one and only choice when it comes to tablets, but if any of you have an opinion on the two I posted above (or have a suggestion for any other tablet), I'd much appreciate it.

I wouldn't waste time on any other brand than a wacom. Even the lowest price wacom is at least 2x better than any other brand. Most of those other brands use batteries that weigh the pen down, they are also easy to get dead spots or even rows.
Give the gift that keeps on giving.
thanks rebb, Looks like i'm going to be picking up a Bamboo Fun
