whar, thats how i got ours, we got in i think close to 50 and did a lottery, i think most people got one,
drums are a lot harder than other instruments on the same setting, but its my favorite instrument to play, its got me considering picking up a real set to give it a try.
Hmm, anyone know of reports of whammy bar's breaking. The spring in mine came out or soemthing, so it's totally loose. Not sure if I should just try to fix it myself or if I should send it in for warrenty. :P
the guitar and bass seem to be much easier in this game than in guitarhero, which is fine with me, as i sucked at the guitar hero games on any setting past med, and i do ok on rockband even on hard. drums tho, i do ok on most songs on med.. but on hard.. whooo thats a pain
also i wish there was a way to mark certain songs so it would never make you play them, that queens of the stoneage song and white stripes songs completely make me wanna cry. not cause they are hard.. but because they are completely terrible songs
uh, while I do agree that there should be an option to omit certain songs... there is no white stripes song in the game.
and you should be able to just rock out anyway, I'm not a fan of a lot of the songs but it doesn't mean I can't enjoy them. Go with the flow is hot, but if you go into it with the state of mind 'i dont like this song' then of course you won't enjoy it.
hell, technically I don't like over half of the setlist and would never listen to ANYTHING on the setlist outside of the game, but while playing I sure as hell get into it.
This game is great. I just there was a way to remove certain songs from your band's list when you play gigs in world tour mode. I know, bands typically play the same songs over and over, but it would be nice to remove the Fallout Boy song because it just the band's morale down when we find out that's the next song on the list.
My buddy's guitar also has the notorious down-strum problem. I wonder if they'll do a recall if it's so rampant.
i went out at lunch and bought a drumset. i live in a townhouse so an acoustic set was not an option.. went digital. cool also i can plug to my pc and record straight. and use headphone
Robot Glenn Miller's Orchestra is a trio of guys from NY (Brooklyn, to be fuckin' specific) with a swedish death metal guitarist brought in as a ringer. good times. goooood times
99% on medium vocals score, first try on Don't Fear the Reaper. I rocked me some cowbell, you best believe.
got my copy yesterday, seems like the tilt sensor is very sensitive in the new guitar and I kept going into overdrive by mistake but I've gotten used to it.
Playing guitar AND singing at the same time, now that's some fun.
i don't think theres any "off beats" unless you are expectin everything to be quater notes,, which would elliminate about 85% of all notes in the game and make it where a monkey could ace it
just beat hard on drums last night. freaking awesome.
Next to you's intro and all of the Iron Maiden song are ridiculous.
edit:
so I just got my replacement drums in. kind of funny and annoying considering I sent out for a replacement guitar over a week earlier. Also, they sent me TWO replacement drums.... kinda funny because my roommate's has a dent that could use replacement anyway.
I finally picked it up recently. Man this is fun. The wife and I have been playing every night since our tv shows aren't on and it gives us something to do together.
My son was jumping around dancing while Black Sabbath was on. Hellz Yeah!!!
Sucks that the guys that worked on it from liquid don't get to see our names in the credits and got the generic thanks to Liquid Development area. Oh well. Still was fun to work on and a great first shipped title.
Yeah me and the girlfriend are addicted to it. It's a horrible game by yourself though. I'd much rather play Guitar Hero 3 if it's just me. But when you have a few peoples around, it's awesome.
My brother and I, Mr. Pick-up and the Humbuckers are(were?) ranked #50 at one point. I was in FL for a week and when we got back we drug our asses back up to #86. What an amazingly addictive game. Complete catastrophe for me while I'm trying to get my folio together.
If anyone wants to play some live matches with me add me and whatnot--my tag is sadbee.
almost done with expert drums.. two to go. I can't imagine doing some of these songs but I have. I mean, shit, I beat Next To You on expert first try... no idea how. 85%'d it.

I hate you. Our company store is actually getting a few copies in, so we're having a lottery to see who gets to buy them, I'd better win!

And apparently the strum problem is one of the switches being knocked loose. and how to fix it: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=8689883&postcount=137

Hopefully no one decides to pull a 'hot coffee' on you guys for giving us that much freedom.
Love this game!
should get guitar this week.. and drums hopefully not too long after. my roommates stuff still works flawlessly though so we've been using his.

it's nice and compact but it's bad ass. I don't know tons about drums but I love them so far and they work very well.

But seriously, up yours Lars Ulrich for your Enter Sandman offbeats.
I can only imagine what a nightmare it would have been if they included any song by tool.

mad though because I don't have my damn guitar.

hahah, the side effect of the game... realizing you don't have any friends

I'll play on live just about any time.
