Speed up Maya's focus anim?

Sorry for the truncated title. I just reformatted my PC, and I decided to put on Maya 2008 and not migrate my prefs and scripts folder from 8.5 to it. I have been bringing it with me since Maya 6, and some buttons and functions have now become redundant or no longer exist.
Of the things I'm trying to get back, one of them is the speeding up of the 'transition' animation that occurs when you press 'F' to focus on the selected object. I like this animation since it lets you see where objects or components are in relation to each other; but the animation itself is too slow. In Maya 7 there was a way to specify a faster time for this, but I can't seem to locate it again. Can someone point it out for me? Thanks.
