Max time slider issues

I've been working on a small animation project this weekend and then I noticed something wierd with my time slider. It should be white w/ my key frames for whatever i have selected, now all that is left is the time slider with nothing else. Even when I select objects that have key frames and go into auto key mode, they don't appear on the time slider. So i figured its my file corrupt yet anything i open the slider is like that. Was there some option that i turned off?? heres a screen cap -- any help would be great.
