well, just got back from dundee. nice place. finally seem to be conquering my flying phobia. I really enjoyed todays flight. I looked out of the window most of the way back:)
great to see the towns below at night, sight to behold seeing london lit up.
yeah real time worlds was cool. nice bunch of people.
not sure how it will pan out, but yeah had a good time. the scenery near dundee is stunning.
Good to get back to london though, travel lodge make me unhappy

I did a fair bit of cycling in and around Dundee when I was at university and working at Visual Science there. Nice area. Can get a bit chavvy in places (highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe, I hear!) but mostly pretty decent.
Bloody cheap place to live too, especially if you're used to south of England prices. Obviously the salaries are balanced lower though.
RTW seems like a pretty decent place to work, I know there's some people on the GameArtisans forums who work there. I think GoK has posted over here before too.

I didn't find it 'too' chavvy , but I kind of get what you mean, it s a bit 'towny', but friendly enough.
RTW had a high standard of work too.
amazing how the travel lodge is right next door to RTW. Amazingly convenient.
Yeah Mop, its certainly the place for cycling, I could actually breathe properly today:)

Rooster, that was more like geordie that Dundonian.

Been there many times. Mates went to uni there. It's only an hour up the road.

Not a huge fan...but it is home to D.C.Thompson, who might be a nasty company, but provided my youth with so much fun via Beano and Dandy and other comics. Ah, Dudley Dexter Watkins, fight the second world war by drawing comics, nay ART, to keep the spirit up.

And my wife is from there. Oh, yeah, I got married this year, was great, you never sent presents. I'll remember that.

my ex boss at monumental is related to the guy who did the desperate dan character.
I think it was his grandad or uncle and oddly enough there is a big connection with nottingham where I worked with DD, some big poster in a pub or summat.

WTF, am I destined to be linked to desperate dan forever. I don't even eat cow pies.

reminds me of 'yosser hughes' who goes to the priest and says
'I am deperate father' and the priest says
'call me dan' and yosser says 'I am desperate dan'
