Slow webhost woes

oii. i'm looking for reccomendations on a good web host.

i'm in the process of putting together a website for my portfolio, here: http://www.thejohnwarnerexperience.com

the problem is that this morning, at least, the site is loading insanely slow. it's taking like a minute to load a 223 kb image.

i'm using www.servage.net . i've usualy been happy with them but.. ah well.

a friend reccomended doteasy.com, and said they were pretty fast.

can anyone reccomend a good host?

Dreamhost rocks. I believe someone here on Polycount setup a coupon code so that you can get the entire first year for like 9 bucks or something, you can use the search in the General Discussion to find it or someone else can post it. I have been using them for over 2 years, and they have awesome service, along with good speeds and a shitbucket of storage space. I also host a lot of clients with them, and I haven't heard a single complaint yet. They also have tons of really nice features in their control panel.
