Under what jurisdiction is this 'FACT' team running under? I've never heard of them, and what is so illegal about what they guy is doing? Are they going after Google next, for having links to illegal content? I'm assuming going after the person who actually HAS the content, was too difficult, so they pick on the easy target.

Damn, I really liked that site, I could watch shows that have either been canceled, or never made it to the US.

I don't think it should be illegal honestly. Although I'm not really familiar with the UK's legal system. I mean, if there's a drug dealer, who has someone advertise for them, like tell people of his merch, I don't beleive he can be arrested, he can be taken in and questioned to inform the police of the actual drug dealer, but not really have any charges placed against him. So really what they should have done, was use the links at TV-Links, to get to the actual people who are pirating the videos. However, they probably just figured it'd be easier to just shut him down so now people will have a harder time searching for these videos. But it's not like taking him down will remove these videos from the net.

FACT is a shitty organisation in england. Their adverts usually have some fat sweating topless man exclaiming piracy IS theft, or another one showing people stealing cars and then switching to some progress indicator bar on a computer... idiots.

what if we came up with a similar scheme for a different non-digital type of crime?

would it be the equivalent of a person who goes around high school telling everyone where to get drugs?

or would it be the guy at university who shows everyone how to use use a usb pen to store information(could be anything)?

or back in the old days the kid who could show you how to tape songs from the radio?

ah theres nothing quite like the internet is there? :P
