Hey Rick how's that new imac working for you? Was tempted to get one myself but I read quite a few reports of a bad video card or drivers that have been causing screen lockups and hard crashes, esp when running games or applications with heavy ogl demands. I've got some software I'd like to run on one but I might go with another macbook pro myself.
Per - I moved the beret just out of shot. I save all the layers of shite for my work PC.
Gwot - it's a joy to work with. I've not had an issue, but the video driver is a known problem. At the minute I'm running Silo and Max on it (running XP in a window), and I've had no issues with either (or the XSI demo).
It's a powerful beast, seemingly faster than my 3Ghz PC at work. Huge screen, very nice.
This is where the magic happens! It's usually messier than this if you can believe it. I'm ready for a minimalist approach for sure.
I got the chair and desk when Quake 3 came out. It's definitely time to upgrade both!
Since then the 2nd computer and 3rd monitor have moved over to Tully's desk which is out of shot to the left. I now have a scanner on the desk instead.
Haha no, it was only set up that way for a few days because I bought new components for a spare box I had, and gave my old box to Tully (which she has since upgraded).
I guess I could have set up Synergy to use both computers with the same keyboard/mouse, but there wasn't much point at the time.
I just thought it was cool having 3 monitors at the same time. There was actually another widescreen monitor just out of shot too, but I couldn't fit all 4 on the desk reasonably

Hah, I have the same desk. Definitely time for me to upgrade as well.
That desk is probably the best one of its kind on the market (price wise). I bought the same one after realizing I couldn't afford to get the anthro cart I REALLY wanted. =]
Lots of space, corner setup, height adjustable metal frame. The only cheap part is the desktop itself which is made of particle mush. But at least you could replace that at any time with something better if you needed to.
Adam , that workspace is really nice man, i love the colors you have going in there, also props for the photo on the right first one got me thinking it was a window ahah !
the other chair's for the wife who i've been training in the ways of 3d 'n stuff, but mostly we just play wow together.

I was about to say that your setup was a total "His and Hers"
I have my wife stationed in the other room on my older PowerMac g4. She would love a desk built for two, but I can't decide if that would be good or bad!
Haha, if you think those Gallant tabletops are bad, you should see my setup before I moved... I just got those cheapo "build your own table and legs" and gave myself about 9 feet of workspace straight along the wall of our office room, it was the greatest desk ever. A little too good... I'm now in my apartment typing on just one table, with one monitor, and not enough room to keep my computer on it either (its seating on a cheap-o IKEA kitchen chair next to it). I'd take a pic but I don't have a camera.
You bastards, my workspace looks fucking ghetto next to your guys Especially Vitaliys and Adams
Holy shit V, just noticed your collection of Takeya's garage kits. Now I'm infinitely more jealous! *Cries*. I wanted to get that cold cast of Corum, you probably outbid me on ebay for it lol. The kit of Guin is absolutely gigantic.
the corum one i got is all painted, i think its one of the original real deal type of versions, the hakkaider and guin are cold casts, but really really good ones, i compared to originals and they're exactly identical, i've gotten a few more since then, u should get the zeiram action figures, they just came out with Iria and zeiram1, they're scaled down from takeya's original sculpts, but they're all painted and zeiram 1 has a little bulb inside his head so his eye glows! they're pretty sweet. the kit thing is sweet, but it gets kind of expensive, might as well make ur own
Yea Kotobukiya released some really good prepainted cold casts, you can spot the recasts a mile away when they come painted because the colors are almost always off. Those Zeiram action figures sound sweet, they look like they are pretty good quality. I feel a little greasy buying recasts, but a 8-12 inch statue costs about 150 bucks to import from America to here, so buying a 50 dollar kit and importing it from bangkok might not be such a bad idea until I can pick up the real deal when I travel overseas.
Adam, I love your workspace man (home one that is). It seems like it would be the most comfortable place to be in ever. EVER. Just has a very nice feel to it. Better than the stupid accomodation I live it. Thank YOU Australian Government.
That's what I'm talkin' bout Adam... inspiration eeevvverryyywhere!!!! pliang, If I had that view you couldn't keep me at my desk...no cg would ever get done:S
This is my tiny corner of chaos... apparently I work in low light:S
