3D Character Artists
Are you a badass, salt-of-the-earth Character Artist, looking for a company that will keep you in the style to which you hope to become accustomed? Then you need to get your portfolio to us asap, my friend, because we need Artists. Man, we need them like Tom Hanks needs to lose that Da Vinci haircut.
Our award-winning pool of Artists is already made up of some fantastically skilled folk with a genuine passion for games and art, but now they want some new blood to help set the bar even higher.
As one of our Artists, you'll work on every aspect of character creation from start to finish:
* Lo-poly modeling
* UV Mapping
* High-poly modeling
* Z-Brushing
* Normal-map generation
* Texturing
* Skinning for animation
Whoever you are, wherever you're from, you'll need to be able to demonstrate at least some of the following 'mad skillz':
* Strong traditional 2D art skills.
* Understanding of human anatomy - from the inside out!
* Excellent eye for detail.
* Grasp of colour theory and lighting.
* Ability to model/texture photo-realistically from reference.
* Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Maya and Z-Brush preferred).
* Self-sufficiency and an ability to learn new techniques.
* Problem solving skills.
* Ability to take constructive criticism without tears.
* Tea brewing ability.
We'd be really impressed if you also had things like:
* Thorough comprehension of next-generation art techniques e.g.
o Subdivision modeling, normal-mapping, ambient-occlusion and all sorts of other complicated sounding jiggery-pokery.
* Additional experience in complementary skillsets e.g.
o Lighting, Rendering, Shading, Rigging, Drawing, MEL-scripting etc. Theres no such thing as too much expertise!
* Knowledge of game-engine limitations and the ability to get the most out of them.
