3ds max 8 no longer recognizes .HDR, .PIC files

As the title suggests my 3ds max no longer has the option for "Radiance Image File (HDRI)(*.pic,*hdr)" I've come to the conclusion that I have deleted the plugin by accident went deleting other plugins that I've installed. I'm not sure how to get it back other than reinstalling Max. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's the first step. Or fresh install.

have you maybe installed some script/plugin recently? i remember a similar issue with polyboost and .dds files. the trick was to re-enable the plugin in customize->plugin manager*

*hopefully the right location. i have altered the menu structure on my install somewhat, so not sure on this.
