Due to a zany event here in the office, our team will probably be switching to Maya. I learned 3d modeling in Maya, so this should be no problem, but I haven't used it in a good 7 months as the office uses 3ds Max.
I've forgotten a shit ton of commands, different stuff has gotten moved around with new versions, and I've learned a few new things in Max as well. If any of you peeps can point me towards a Maya equivilant of a Max tool, I'd be veeery thankful.
First is Align to Normal! Alt+N in Max.
Selecting a face, and aligning the object based on its normal to the face normal a different object. Invaluable when creating dummy cutting objects for cutting stadiums up.

Also, the Snap Align tool under Modify in Maya can be used to do this in a different way. (Select a certain amount of points and snap an object to them)
