well im no polycounter. i dont make my own models, but the other day i was messing around with a model and changing it to make it pink, which i did sucessfully. and then I decided to put in my own sounds. and im pretty sure adding sounds is the simplest thing to do making a model for Q3. but after i added the sounds the only ones i could get to work were... falling1, pain25_1, and taunt... the rest ended up as default sarge sounds? can anyone give me a quick anwser as how to fix it. are mabye the .wavs that i put in the pk3 not compatiable?

It would be GREAT if you actually read what I posted.
Not all wav files are created equal. Resave your wavs with the same settings and see if that works.
Quake3 requires very specific wav files. Not just any old wav file you butcher from the web. For example Doom3 takes waves that are;
either 1 (mono) or 2 (stereo) channel, 16 bit at 11025, 22050 or 44100 Hz.
It is entirely possible that Quake3 only allows 2 channel 16 bit 11025Hz files or some other specific type of wav. It could be the wavs that work are saved correctly the ones that DO NOT work are more than likely not saved in the correct wav format or you screwed up the pk3.
Since I don't know you, I have to assume you might screw up the pk3 file or the audio files are saved in the wrong wav format, since those are the easiest things to mess up.
As for the exact specs Quake3 requires, I think you can find that on your own, I'm not going to dig that up for you since you think being a smart ass is more important than actually asking for help.
