Been a while since I've done much personal work, but a new laptop and new outlook has got me pushing polys at home again. Thought Id mix things up and start with a car. Something I have somehow never built before. Its part of a larger scene I have planned. Eventually everything will be setup as in-game assets for something like U3 engine. Havent decided yet.
As for the car Im starting with building a nice highres model. Its based on an image I found sitting in my reference folder. If anyone has any image credits, or any idea who made it let me know. Its requires a little filling in the blanks because I only have that one perspective view.

The image is most likely Pontiac concept circa 1970.
Cause the car on it looks a lot like a mix of GTO and Firebird.

If it is, you need the hood mounted tachometer
You might be able to scare up some more orthographic reference that could help fine tune the look. I'm not saying you shouldn't use the stylized ref you have, but car nuts will crit you to death about details...
Don't forget that the ref you are using is of an action shot of the car coming off the line. The nose is pitched up and the tail is down. If you're not going to feature the car in this action pose then you should pull the rear wheels down and level out the car.
Other than that, its looking top notch, awesome work!
doing an HP model of this is just sadistic..
You already have a great model, maybe just pop the hood a little bit to keep it low profile on the engine.
But its yumyumyuym!
