OT - Underwater mp3 players?

my roommate just bought a case for an ipod that lets you bring it underwater.. he needed this and underwater headphones.. I think it was almost $150 for them all.. I don't know the exact brand name but I think it was the only ones they sold at the apple store - they work great for him

Wouldn't there be problems with listening to music underwater? Surely the sound would get all distorted, right?

Think it'd work fine if the headphones sealed your ears and allow for a a bit of enclosed air between the phones and your ear fleece thingy that resonates to the movement( hehe sorry I don't know the term, if it makes sense, I'd be happy if anyone could tell me the correct term for the ear fleece thingy )

this seems totaly unsafe. scuba diving with a mp3 player? you need to keep an ear out for aproaching sharks.. or worse yet.. zombies.

I actually saw a tutorial on double wrapping an ipod with 2 condoms for underwater easy listening.. Who knows why they used two? Or maybe it was a digi cam they wrapped up.. Either way, condoms yea..
