The content is pretty good, but I'm not a fan of "bevel/emboss + erase" especially on brick. You might want to check the spec map on some of those human/organic models they seam a bit metallic.
im not pro, so i won't pick apart your work, however i will talk about the website. . .
man, that red background thing is distracting and ungly - get rid of it. to me it looks like a photoshop swatch preset. i'd suggest if it is something you should keep as a background to your website, to spend more time on it to make it look less like something you spent 2 seconds making.
but personaly i'd just get rid of it for a simpler background.
what i liked is the load time of the reel, instant. for me i got no load time, no buffering.
-thats all from me
Heya,
Def agree with Vig on the brick thing with the bevel erase ugliness, it's detracting from your work big time. Try something more neutral that'll keep the focus on the work. You also might want to think about getting rid of the splash page, and having it open with your work, the less clicks it takes to see things, the better.
I'd also like to see more info on your environments, like with the chapel, you have a quasi-wireframe thing going on, but it would be good to see the whole thing in wire, a tri count, and some of your textures. More info on all of your pieces would be helpful.
I'd take the griffin out, it's not as strong as the rest of your work. If you're looking for a job, if it's not the very best, cut it.
I like the chapel a lot, and the car is nice. Keep it up!
heya!
you have some nice work here. The only issue I have is, is how the content is positioned. I'd say just center everything on the page, instead of having it to the left. But thats just me. Keep up the great work.
edit: just one more thing, change your sites page title, right now it just reads "website".
Thanks a lot for the replies guys. I'll be tweaking my website and its content shortly!
As far as centering the page on the browser, I have no idea how to do that. I'm using flash for the website so if any of you guys know how to do it please let me know. I'll try to research that as well.
My only suggestion: downloadable versions of Reel, Resume, and portfolio images. Lots of employers keep directories of these things for possible future hires. Give them that resource and you'll up your chances for that "we'll be hiring soon" company.

great looking pontiac.
Maybe the reel spends too much time looking at the thing in the center of the chapel
