Just curious if some of the problems i've had lately using zmapper to bake out a normal map was related to my uvs being mirrored. Zbrush doesn't like this?
yeah i don't think it deals too well with UVs stacked on top of each other.
it should be ok to move any overlapping UVs exactly 1 full UV unit to the left/right/up/down just so they're out of the "baking range" but still map to the correct parts of the texture.
You shouldn't have overlapping UV's but you can put your overlaped UVS into another texture space (not overlaped) and then move them back after createing your maps.
