How can I use distance fog?
and how can I creat/place sprites?
and how can I use/create a sky?
For the fog there is an actor called HeightFog, as the name implies it can work as distance and height fog. It all depends on how you adjust the settings.
Sprites I'm assuming you mean effects/particles. This workflow is a little different from the past version. In order to do this you'll have to create a new particle in the cascade editor (particle editor). This can be done the same way you would make a new material in the generic browser. Create a new particle effect and the editor will open. If you want to place one in your level select yellow bordered assets. These, in other version of the engine, are particle effects.
02Car has the right idea for the sky. There is no longer I skyzoneinfo its now just a physical mesh. This allows great flexability for you to create something spectacular.

Its for UE2, but I'm pretty sure the workflow hasn't changed much.
o2car: how can I deffine, which parts should bloom and which not? For example the sun shoot bloom brightly, while some other parts shouldn't.
