Things like this really make me wonder about some people... I'm as hardcore a gamer as anyone else, but not sleeping or eating when you're clearly in need of both is just stupid. The sad thing is that this isn't all that uncommon. I hear stories like this at least once a year.
All that I can say it that he'd better have hit at least level 70. I mean I personally wouldn't be totally satisfied unless I hit 73, but could you imagine dying at level 54?
Considering WoW caps at 70 it was more than likely the push from 70 to 73 that killed him.

Perhaps he had Asperger's or some similar metal disorder where such mundane tasks simply aren't thought of. I know if I don't pay attention I can easily go two or three days without eating anything more substantial than a coke.
I'm surprised nobody has brought up the idea that maybe it was a pk? Did anyone at the cafe start tea-bagging his corpse?
Kind of reminds me of some Buddhist monk rituals that involve meditating for something like 9 days without food, water or sleep. Trying to achieve enlightenment through gaming perhaps?

I always thought playing WoW was a bit of a mundane task in itself. He should have had no problems.
That's pretty insane, I know I can get like that some times. Not to the point where I'll sit at my PC for 3 days solid, but where I'll be really into what I'm doing and skip lunch and/or dinner. I'll still get up and walk around because I can't really sit in the same place for more than an hour or so at a time.

Who dies after three days with no food or sleep? That's not too bad...
