Average industry income?

I was curios what the Average income is in the games industry, can anyone attest?

Im especially curios about artist positions and level design.

What would be the ideal starting salary? And im guessing its salary and not hourly? But what does it rough out to?

Also how important is a tradition fine arts degree, such as an associates?
