Interesting, though I have not done many characters myself, I think the legs are kinds questionable as its kind of more like inflated blimps while also he has no ass, personally I would check and make sure he does before doing other things to it.
I believe the idea of the pants was to act as a makeshift sail if you had to ditch from your plane in to the sea:)
Nice Model so far BTW, but the loops are a bit untidy in places and why the tri's is a sea of quads in places ,like on the middle of the thigh.
I don't think the head will smooth too well also.
Looks cool, I like your poly usage (as usual ).
His arms look too short though, and his shoulders seem a bit bulgy for no reason. It looks like he's not wearing any clothes on his upper body, especially the arms/shoulders...
Also, what's that boxy thing on his chest? It looks pretty weird at the moment, got any reference images or plans of how you're going to texture that?
That said, the rest is nice and I hope he gets a cool texture
Looks very very nice.
MetalGear goes 1942 is somewhat like MetalGear3, since Ocelot wears those galife pants too.
So where is this lowpoly hottie going? Same place as the remodeled HL1 grunts?
@Zenarion
MGS3 played in the 60´s (Cold War).But yeah, Ocelot and the henchmen wore the same pants.
Fixed some things, made the upperbody look more clothed tweaked the shoulders and added a bit of stuff.
I´ll give him a field cap later on, for now I´m off to bed.

The Uniforms were designed by Hugo Boss himself.
@Ruz
Most of the triangles are there to fix up smoothing errors, also I´m a milkshaper at heart and I´m just used to triangles I guess.
@Ruz
I was thinking spandex for the upperbody, and a Y-Strap like the german infantry had.
The box on his chest is supposed to be one of these bags.
They´re usually used for ammo clips but I guess you could put other stuff in there.
Anyway,be nice to see it textured.

I'll just echo what MoP said.
