Vancouver Stay January through February..?

If everything goes correctly, I'd like to make it up to Vancouver for my internship. It'll be about 8 weeks, anyone willing to take in a fellow polycounter?
Or have any options on cheap hotels in the area? I'm hopefully going to be traversing back and forth to Threewave but still have to finish up the paperwork, I just got my passport back.
