5000+ polys i need to kill the engine or somehow lower its polycount >_<;, seeing all the wavy winged entries inspired me to make the concept i drew up wen this contest started laugh.gif.

Ship is 732 polys
Engine + gas tank 4356 >_>; i kind went overboard with detail and forgot about poly limit ... heh

    Hi needles! To my opinion you've wasted a lot of polys in detail of the ship's engine.You won't even see those details,because they're hidden.You should rather paint them in texture.You could bring down the engine-polys to count 20, I guess.Then there are lots of polys left to put in surface-detail.

    Yeah im considering either making a completely new engine type, or just just use a bunch of planes and textures to fake all the piping on the engine. m(_ _)m

    you can alpha a cone and get that detail, just have it mirror. it would look like a pie in your uvs. I like the engine as the ship. Give that a cockpit and a pair of flippers and call it a day. It looks more interesting to me that way.
