I like the way the light interacts with the subtle nuances of the slightly disheveled, yet well-rendered hair. The piece has a certain childish air about it, and certainly in a good way. How long did it take to produce this masterpiece?
Congratulations on your very talented daughter, guy. Just watch she doesn't get better at drawing than you, eh?
lol...the "Hitler mustache" is suppose to be a nose...and the things on the side of the head are hands. thanx for the comments guys. The next piece of hers i post will be a rendered fully posable 3d model. lol
This drawing is almost there, it just needs a few adjustments.I think she needs to work on her large shapes,it could use a more interesting silhoutte. Also the Mustache needs more detail, The simple "charlie brown t shirt" scribbles just don't cut it these days. Tell her to keep practicing, and update us soon. Also what equipment is she using? The tones she is getting with that pencil are killer
a great thing that i recently purchased for my son is one of those magnetic drawing boards that he can scribble on and just erase and start over.
He is always having me draw on it but I guess he gets upset with my lack of quality because he always says "NO!" Gives me a dirty look and then erases it by sliding the bar.
Now I know how Ryan Church and the concept artists felt like after dealing with George Lucas on the Star Wars Prequels.
hahahaa, my kids use to do the same thing with that magnetic board. I wonder if it's a perception thing. For example, your drawing looks pretty good, but for some reason, it looks really off to them, so they don't like it. Like us perceiving Spider as having a Hitler mustache, but it was suppose to be his nose
