I have a Dell 2500 FPW monitor I would like to adjust my FPW screen monitor to Adobe color settings and neartest to true color profiles generally used on CRT monitors.
Is this at all possible? or is having the 2nd monitor which would be CRT totally necessary when working with colors, painting and viewing?

1) Right click on the desktop, goto Properties.
2) Goto Settings, choose Advanced
3) Find the Color Management tab (menus differ depending on video card)
4) Add a profile, choose an Adobe color profile (AdobeRGB 1998 perhaps?)
I'm using an ATI Mobility graphics card, so this might differ for you. You could also try color matching with this, since it looks like you can do it per monitor. Set the CRT up as normal as a second monitor and try and match the LCD to the CRT based on the color profiles provided, or using the Color profile editor included with your videocard.
I also asked because I found a wallpaper that became my desktop background and thought about fixing it to my screen's resolution while doing so I found that it became very desaturated when viewed in Adobe and I thought that was a problem especially if I wanted to do any texturing.
Never-the-less thanx Illusions.
