I've been trying to make just a simple folded towel in Z but everytime I render out the normal map I get these weird flat areas, like the shape is being clipped or something. Anyone know what is causing this?
in the zmapper tab under misc, play with the raycasting distance settings, this is just a guess, but i think you will have different results, normal tangents might do something too. if you come to some good results please share your settings and stuff.
Damn, I ment to reply to this sooner...Thanks for the help guys, it was totally the raycasting distance. The Max raycasting distance setting under Misc. was almost all the way down. I turned it up to about a 5th of the way up the bar and it worked perfectly. Thanks guys.
