WE ARE HIRING
We are currently looking for programmers and artists - Please check out the content below and if you feel we might be the company for you, then you should know what to do next.
We are always interested to hear from talented individuals - and not necessarily from within the games industry. As a general/starting point you really ought to browse the website and see if we're the sort of company you think you might fit in to.
It's fair to say that there isn't anything we could use as an analogy to working in the games industry - nothing repeatable. It's different to what most people expect but it can be a very rewarding experience. It's mostly a case of what you put in is what you'll get out in the end.
We don't think that talent alone would be enough. You will certainly need to be able to apply and channel your creativity in a productive and pragmatic way. We will help you do that! If you want a job with us, you should already recognise that we don't welcome divisions between any areas of game development. We move together to produce the best quality work that we can all feel proud of.
Artists
Essentially, we want you to have a good feel for games and you should be well capable of adapting your style to suit the game you are working on. You should have a realistic approach to the things you do. We do occasionally invent the wheel but it is always round! You don't have to be in the games industry already but you should be enthusiastic about wanting to be.
What to do next
If the above outline appeals to you, and if you're an artist, you should provide a CV and a sample of your work. If you have modelling or animation work to show you should provide the files together with the rendered scenes.
Please do not send executables or self-extracting zips. Samples should be sent on CD if at all possible.

We are a small and friendly studio. We use MAX as a preference, but the last project was done with Maya. Currently our need is for a junior artist, ideal for a first timer in the industry, and also for someone with some industry experience who would be able to hit the ground running.
If you do send examples as attachments to emails, please keep it below 5mb.
Hopefully see some of you at interview soon.

After reading through your thread regarding available positions for artists to start in the games industry, I would like to say that I am very interested to be excepted for this position. I have a strong passion for digital art, mostly in the areas of comic style characters and manga and this year, I intend to go to college to gain qualifications in games design at stroud college.
Everything I have currently learnt about digital art has been self taught and I am extremely eager to learn further and I am sure the best way would be work based training or preferably a type of apprenticeship or internship while I am studying at college. If you are interested, I can send you some examples of my artwork.
Thanks very much

Usually I wouldn't say anything.... but 2007 was the last post date.... thats an achivement right there
Really does sum up the last four years of UK games development growth sadly.
It would probably help your cause if you leanred that it's accepted not excepted in this situation.
Hahaha, guess you could say that sums up for the last four years of Swedens games development growth too.
