Well, I came across a few pictures of this knife (the default counter-strike one) and decided it would be a good idea to try something a bit easier to work out my workflow for my 1911 model. These pictures are in chronological order, so there's some things missing in the earlier ones.
I'm having a few problems with xNormal (see the dedicated thread in 2/3d discussion). I'd also like to know what people would suggest in terms of smoothing groups for the lowpoly.
why haven't you joined all those edges together on the low poly? you've effectively doubled the polycount on the blade the way you've made it at the moment.
