Am thinking it's about time to have another get together for the local Vancouver polycounters. Last one was somewhat a failure way back in October last year. Ideas/Suggestions for places and time.
General has been the sammy j peppers in burnaby as it's somewhat easy for most people to get to.

I'm still in for it. The two that I went to were great times, though the crowd wasn't huge.
Sammy J's works for me, though we could always try to hit up somewhere different if people are up for it. Something like Stella's (it's on the drive, so it's easy to get to) has an awesome selection of imported belgium beers. Just a thought.
I don't know where all of you guys are or how easy it is to get there, but Original Joe's on Broadway & Cambie is decent. Beer, lots of room, pool tables and hardly ever packed.

Either way, wherever it is I'm game. Downtown's definitely cooler, but so long as theres beer and food I think we'll be fine.
That's a joke you see, I'm a funny guy. I'm down for booze, beer, and waitresses with large breasts.
Brome, she's waiting...
/me ducks and drives back across the boarder to safety.
HOT!! I mean really... imagine how you can pull that skin around and make her look like anyone you want

Real time skin deformation! It's next-gen!
Also, props for those who appeared @ the Activision meet and greet, I had so much fun and left around 11 pm
kinda off-topic but quasar your taking the character art test for next level games right? looks pretty good so far.
Metrotown/Sammy J's works as well, but I think it'd be nice to vary it up and check out somewhere different?
I'm fine either way, just my 2 cents.
Edit> Mitch, just looked at your resume because I'm nosy..you're working at the same place I was a little while back
Although I really don't care. As long as we can hang out, drink, chat and the waitresses are hot.
Steamworks is nice, but you generally need to make reservations and put money for a group of 10 or more people. And this is looking to be around 10 people or so.
Plus people are welcome to bring friends along. I might bring along a couple classmates.
For the date, I am thinking around sept 14th or 21st (both friday's) or would a saturday work better for people?
And where's the verdict on the location? Sammy J's is actually a bit of a pain in the arse for me to get to, although if it's there it's not a huge deal(If you want central location Commercial Drive is where it's at, as both skytrain lines converge there). My vote is still in for Steamworks though.
We play CoH all too often at work as well.
Unless anyone can't make it, or doesn't want to make the trip to Sammy J's, it sounds like that's the traditional meetup. I've no qualms with heading into Van though from Burnaby. Hell, it's only about half an hour. (Unless you're that nomad, Quasar. What a punk.)
Quasar's internet access might be wanged for the next few days, so I'll go out on a limb and say he'll be there. Thread might be buried by then.
This leaves it to someone else to go early to ensure a spot or postpone until Sept 28th.
And yea, I'm with Uly on this, we can just wait. Be best anyways because Sean Smilie's Industry Night thinger is the 21st. Dunno if anyone else goes to it, but if so it allows for us to get to both. So the 28th of Sept gonna work?
