LPC #01 - FZero Racer -- scummy

Seems I've been posting updates in the wrong thread, so heres the "final".

Made some final adjustments, but nothing fancy... got kinda bored with it. This is it for now, maby I'll add some mo' later (missing sirenes I guess crazy.gif )

Didnt add a normal/spec map. Kinda like avoiding it whenever possible, and it wasn't really needed here.

Still open to crits ofcause. Its in no way perfect, and any thoughts are very welcome smile.gif.

Not sure it fits in the fzero universe too well (they tend to be squat, aerodynamic little things), but they need medics too. Even though the main body is a white surface, don't be afraid to add some color. You've got a tiny bit of purple going on, but amp it up even further. I probably added too much bounce on the front of the white section, but thats one way of getting some color on a plain looking texture. Lots of dust and dirt (from the track and other vehicles exhaust) will collect especially on the lower parts. I don't know exactly what it's main function is, but I looked at it like it barreled down the track and scooped things up into the compartment at the front. Therefore, at blistering high speeds, bits of debris will tear that front section up. There's also some blue on the top reflecting the sky, but I don't know if this is best as they aren't always (or hardly ever) driving in a blue sky environment.

    Nice paintover spacey, thank you.

Know d*ck about the game, did a google and thought "hmmm... hovering vehicles" and started modelling without doing any concepts x'(

For some reason I've keept it very clean and "stylish", no dirt, scratches, bumps etc., and little to no in/direct lighting. Think I got a stiffy for the lineart'ish back, and how the dark front (yes its got a purple hue) emphasized the medic idear.

On second thought, roughing it up a lil could add a reason for normal/spec maps, and would fit the fzero theme much better.

:edit - Only problem I can see with adding scratches etc., is that its gonna be the same on both sides (as its mirrored). Hopefully it wont look too obvious.
